Knoppix and Red Hat:
are the only distros that i have tried. Both of them i installed on my machine as the sole system. My problem with Knoppix was the learning curve and at the time i could not wrap my linksys wireless windows driver with a good linux compatible wrap. Red Hat overwhelmed me.
Another problem i have is i haven't found many ummm.... "torrent media" that is set up for linux. now this may mean that all dvd converters and things of this sort are free in linux but i don't know.
Basically what it all comes down to is i know a fair bit about windows and i am SCARED to try and learn all of this in linux... but i really really really want to. |
