EDIT: UPDATE
I do have it zipped and password protected but i don't know how well that works. just the default compression on XP. It isn't classified or anything but i don't trust some of the PPL in my database administrator dept here. |
I get this request all the time.
Do you have a unique login? Is it XP Pro?
If so, the easiest way to do this is to set PERMISSIONS to the folder you want. That way, only your unique login (your Windows user name and password) will have access to it. If anyone else tries they'll get my favorite error "Access is Denied". Its better to ask your local IT help desk to help you set it up. If you dont have anybody to ask let me know and I'll walk you through it.
If it just a home computer, I have never used it, so you use try it at your own risk:

There are others out there but this one is free.
