Well, it was kinda necessary to have a new file type. Otherwise, people would always open 07 docs in 03 with no way of telling, and be told constantly that 'Certain features and formatting were removed.' Or worse, just crash.
I'm ok with it, I appreciate the fact that I would rather have new features on the docs that I and I alone will open, and can always convert for those that need it. |
