POINT OF CORRECTION
As it turns out the G92/G98 will not replace the 8800GTX or 8800 Ultra. The G92 will instead replace the mainstream 8800GTS whilst the G98 will be in the best price/performance category (replaces 8600 series).
Apparently Nvidia was disappointed with the performance of the 8800GTS which is why they are replacing it so quickly. No News on a 'high-end' cards which means probably nothing until 2008. -Which means I have a terrible decision of whether to get a 8800GTX or wait until later.
This is subject to change, Nvidia is very tight lipped about releasing info, so this yet to be confirmed. |
