I agree with most of your pros and cons as well.
But you forgot one VERY important thing: It's played in the Middle Earth/The Tolkien "universe"!!

And since I'm a huge fan of the books and movies that's a very important thing for me..

The lag and rubberbanding issues seems to have been fixed in the latest patch by the way, so that should hopefully not happen very often now..

I really wonder what they'll come up with in their first paid addon.
Rohan, Gondor and/or the mines of Moria would have been nice.

And I also guess that Mordor will be added in later paid addons as well, but probably not in the first one(s)..
