Can anyone give me a hand. After years of being a Microsoft slave I have decided to give Ubuntu a try. Unfortunately my first attempt has been bumpy. The pc freezes during installation at random intervals. There is no specific place where it stops it just stops. It works fine if I try to install Windows XP. I tried burning a second DVD, same result. It looks like a hardware conflict but I have no idea where to begin, I am a total Linux Newbie...
