My old Compaq Presario did something similar. I had a repair guy out for another problem, and he blamed it on Windows. It would get to the screen where it says, "Your Computer is Shutting Down," and then it wouldn't go any further. He told me to just shut it off at the CPU when that happened, so that's what I did for the remaining years I used that computer. |
