I have been wrong before, but I was always under the impression that the only mains voltage in home computers was contained safely within the power supply box, the outputs all being 12V and 5v+ and 5v-.
I'm always fooling around within my 'puta case, although I must admit that if I have reason to take the cover off it is usually to install or change hardware, in which case the power is always disconnected. It is almost impossible for me to access my internals without unplugging the power. |
