One of my own sites had an Alexa ranking around 20-30,000 when I had the toolbar installed myself, and it jumped up to 80-100,000 after I installed it, even if the traffic increased quite a lot in that period...

And as you say, the toolbar is monstly used by webmasters so webmaster related sites tend to have HIGHLY inflated Alexa ranks since the percentage of those who visits those sites using the Alexa toolbar is much higher then on other "common" sites...

So no, I don't bother to look at the Alexa ranking at all anymore..
