It will be 00:00 when it opens (barring any further delay). I might just wait it out.
They have released several more patches today, might be worth downloading them, some of them are big.
My Barbarian Ranger "Canon" is up to level 4 already (took 15 minutes. )
It really is a Beta and I've reported a few bugs already, but so far it looks pretty good.
It's good that the NDA has been lifted for the Open Beta, so it's possible to post about the game here..

Barbarian or ranger?
Kogan, my Aqualion Conqueror is to lvl 5. Very Good game, but yes, very very buggy. I wonder if they are not releasing this too soon???
Broken quests, only one skill to upgrade, crashes (due to stress test most likely). Oh and I preordered it too.
This could be a WOW killer IF they fix the bugs before release.

This is the great killer for these games and sadly it is something that game companies flatly refuse to take notice of, releasing a game too early is the kiss of death in the long term.
I have often wondered why these companies don't run the open beta before the product goes gold, for people in countries and area's where the internet at best dodgy there is nothing worse than loading up a game and then having to wait 24 hours while it patches only to discover its still buggy.

I agree, so far it looks very good, but there are still tons of bugs in there..
Do you keep getting kicked/logged out as well??

Did you go for the regular game or the collectors edition?
I preordered the collectors edition since the price difference wasn't very big..
(and that drinking cape looks very handy.. )

I've already downloaded 500-600MB of patches for the Bete, so the patch for the final version when it goes live later in May will be huge.
I'm glad I have a 20Mbit internet connection....
I got the regular on pre-order. As the price difference was 24 pounds vs 60 pounds +shipping.
My Conqueror is Level 11 Now, it sucks they made the cap only to 13. You lvl up very fast, it only took me a few hours to get this far. Once I reach 13 I will try a new character, I like archers but maybe I'll try a Magic class
Yes I am getting kicked every 15-20 minutes, but this is actually common during stress tests. Basically the Network Admins are testing the bandwidth threshold to see how much traffic the servers can hold. They usually artificially jack up the network traffic 2x-3x the current number of actual users to see if the servers can take the added stress. Thats why you see objects, monsters, weapons, etc disappear and come back, it means they are pushing the servers to its limits. Disconnections are also a sign. Basically it helps determine if they need to add additional servers before launch.
If anyone tries a Conqueror or Barbarian let me give you a tip, when facing bosses, you want to use 2-handed weapons. Dual wield is cool again multiple weak enemies, but against a single tough boss you needed the extra damage. I kept dying doing it the other way.
One final question. Has anybody figured out how to do FATALITIES? I did several (very cool, bloody animations) but I have no idea how I did it.

That was quite a difference..
Only 100 NOK (aprox 10 pounds) difference here in Norway...

No lvl 13 yet, but I encountered a bug with the Necromancer so I'll probably have to start over again there.
I'm not able to enter nighttime im the first quest in the city (Awakening)..
Works fine on the archer I'm testing as well.

It's aprox 10% chance to get one when the last swing of a combo kills your target.
So how do you like the combat system so far?
Having to aim the hits, use combos etc. are far far better than the "systems" in WoW and LoTRO in my opinion...
Reached LvL 13. Going to try a new class. Have decided what...
Do all 3 factions have the same start point? Thats going to suck. I was under the spell that start points for the 3 kingdoms was different. I seriously hope thats only for the beta. In certain areas there are more people than monsters.
Combat system is great, nuff said. I got in a few small raids in the ruins (2-3 full parties)
A lot of people have been complaining about that quest, you have to speak to the bartender, he can switch between day/night, thats what I did.

I hope so as well, but I can't find any info on it...

I did that to start the quest, but when I clicked to switch to night I got an error message and now she wont speak to me (story of my life.. )...
A new patch arrived today, and it seems to have made it a bit more stable now..
I've also experienced that selecting one of the presets (low/mid/high), turning of bloom and choosing shaders 2.0 helps on the stability (it's also recommended by Funcom)
You should also try to create a new character on the newest server since Openbeta #1 is seriously crowded, even if it says low load..
Have you testet PvP yet?
Looks pretty good, even if it's still a bit slow and buggy...
Up to lvl 13 on the Ranger now, and it looks pretty good, but it's maybe too good on close-combat and not good enough on ranged yet (at least up to that level.. )
Testing a Priest of Mitra now...
