Anyone playing? Your thoughts...

My Character is a Level 36 Conqueror a mix of DPS/Tanking and a small degree of buffing. He doesn't hit as hard as a barbarian and he cannot take the hits as a guardian can, but he is much tougher than a barbarian and hits harder than the guardian.

I think its really good, but I don't know if I will keep subscribing. There are two things that really bug me.

First, the FFA PVP just plain SUCKS. There is hardly any good PVP. Its completely overrun my griefers, gankers and lowbie-killers. People will do anything not to fight fair, including 4 on 1's, attacking you while already in combat (while low on Health-Stamina) and other cowards. I have 30 PVP deaths and only 5 I consider "honorable". And its pointless anyway, there is no XP in PVP nor loot, nor prestige. Sounds its all useless anyway.

Second, is the lack of content. This is something we didn't notice in the beta because the beta only went to lvl 13. But there is a noticable lack of quests between lvl 35-60 which means grind, grind, grind just to lvl up. Thats going to get very boring fast. I started in Aqualionia and I am already doing quests in Stygia and Cimmeria because I have tapped out of quests.

That doesn't exactly give me an incentive to keep playing, especially if I try to role a new character.

Not me I have been roped into playing SWG and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

To be honest I had thought about playing AoC but the closer I got to buying it the more I decided I was sick of hack and slash RPGs where I would have to start from scratch again. At this stage as I have said previously Stargate Worlds is going to be the next game I look at.

Playing as Ranger and I'm up to level 35 and so far I really enjoy it.
The graphics is great and the gameplay and the storyline isn't too bad either, but as you say I've read quite a few forum posts about the lack of content in the lvl 50 and 60 area so I'm really not rushing to get there too fast..
Funcom have announced that they'll release a couple of more areas for those levels this summer so I'm sure this will get better soon..

The latest patch fixed a few annoying bugs by the way, so it's a bit more stable now:

Haven't tested PvP much yet for the reasons you're mentioning Mmarsh (only lvl 15 there)...

Anyone (still) playing it??

I have a level 67 ranger there now, but after I got over the first "ohh" and "ahhh's" I can really feel the lack of content now..
The game really got potential, if they hurry up and fix the crafting, trader, PvP, guild systems, and adds more areas/quests/content..
But right now there are WAY to few quests and it doesn't feel like a MMORPG, it's just too small..

I'll probably level my ranger up to 80 just to test it, but if they don't add more content before Mines of Moria is released I'll probably go back to Lord of the Rings online again since I don't have time to play much and have to choose just one game...

Not me, I decided to wait for a few months to see how it panned out and everyone I knew that was playing it has since left and gone back to what they were playing before.

I will probably wait for Star Gate Worlds or maybe even Biowares new Star Wars Online title.
