Post - Asus P5e

What are the best settings in the BIOS to enable Vista to see my "very slightly" overclocked CPU? I had a Gigabyte board and it worked well but with this new board Vista is saying that my CPU is a Q6600 @2.4GHz 2.39GHz. CPU-Z is reporting correctly, running @ 3051.0 MHz.

Have you downloaded and installed the (latest) Vista drivers for the Asus P5e motherboard?
Some of the installation/driver CDs only comes with XP drivers...

You can go to this page to find the latest drivers for your motherboard:

Absolutely, brand new x38 board came with the vista drivers, but I downloaded a few too. I've had this same trouble with other Asus boards (P5K, and the Asus P5B). I just don't know what setting in the bios allows the OS to read what the overclock is. I'm pretty sure the P5B eventually read the OC, but don't know how I got it to work.

HM, then it's cetainly strange that Vista wont display the correct numbers..
I've tried to search for it as well, but can't find anything..

Perhaps Micro$oft has decided that overclocking is bad for you so they have added an OC "ban" as a new feature in Vista..
