Topic Battlefield games

Anyone besides me been playing the Battlefield games? I have Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142, but I barely play the latter for now. I'm loving that game (even with a few annoyances, and EA mishandling the servers).

Yes I do, but I have been away for awhile. Mostly 2142 but I think BF2 is the better game. I don't think the Sci-fi fits this series well. Also I was watching gameplay trailers of Quake Wars, there are some things in the Demo that the Battlefield series would be wise to copy.

Like the mission based objectives and the fact that engineers can do things like build Field Guns, gun emplacements, etc. Instead of just fix tanks.

Also I HATE satellite scans in BF. I play sniper which rely on stealth, stealth is our only protection and those damn scans always betray my position no matter how well concealed I am. Then, the second I am detected, a arty strike drops right on my head -its not fair.

Yeah, BF2142 just isn't for me yet, for a lot of those reasons. Maybe I'll like it more over time, but for now I like the more classes of 2, and what I feel is a better style of play. 2142 is just TOO Sci-Fi somehow.

For Quake Wars, I am looking forward to it, but don't know much about it yet. Sorta reminds me of Team Fortress Classic, which I absolutely loved.

I played battlefield 2 quote a lot a while ago, even had my own 64 slot ranked server for a year+, but I haven't played it much lately..
Never bothered to try BF2142 my the way..

i played battle field 2142 before and its really a great game~ but mostly i play co-op mode which requires you to capture the flags and take down your enemies lol. its kinda fun like counter strike but better for me.

1942 is the only one I ever play...

I play a lot of Batlefield 2 but only on local servers and with my friends because i don`t have a very good internet connection and this is the only way i can play it without problems.
