Post - Best software to use?

I haven't created a website yet. My husband has one that someone did for him, but I don't have one yet. So, what's the best software to "EASILY" create a website?

I use DW8 but you may not want to buy so try NVU google it. It is free and you they have extention tutorials. What ever you get use a free template for the first time. You can get them online

Take a look at Content Management Systems (CMS), they are like comprehensive website builders. Joomla as a good one, it's open source and free. Or you can try several at http://www.opensourcecms.com.

I would say "Dreamweaver" as the best option...Particularly if you have a template in your hand, then things get really easy with the help of dreamweaver.

I agree with 10cents, the best way to set-up or build a website is through CMS like Joomla, Drupal, or wordpress. NVU and Dreamweaver are great for creating a web page and will be useful in customizing templates for CMS.

I use Macromedia Dreamweaver since it is very easy to use and it supports html, php, javascripts, and many other scrips. It is not very cheap but if you're serious about creating any kind of website I think Dreamweaver is the way to go.

Good luck!

Macromedia Dreamwever is the best out there if you ask me,but NamoWeb Editor is much more easy to use if you are a beginner and don`t know your way through a website editor.

I'm a Dreamweaver fan, I had played with MS Frontpage for a week or so which was quite good for someone like myself who never had the first idea how to put a website together. A friend told me to try a trial version of Dreamweaver CS he had on a magazine cover CD.

A bit baffling at first as I still knew nothing, but it was obvious that it was miles ahead of Frontpage, I have persisted, and I'm still a rank amateur, but I love it and that's all that matters.

Any program that can be worked out by an ignoramus like me has got a lot going for it. This is especially so when you realise that I am one of those pig headed fools who would rather fiddle with a problem for a few hours than take 15 minutes to read the Help file.

Marab, I say you should just take advantage of the 10Mb free sites you can get for nothing, and have a play, if you find that you like it, you can then upgrade and look at more space and other software. Just start with one or two pages and play with it you'll be surprised what you learn.

Dreamweaver is the industry standard and if you are really serious then thats the way to go. But if your are looking for the template kind of start where you don't have to do so much of work then here are three. You can try them out:-

1&1 Instant Website

Site2you

Site Studio
