Post - D Programming Language

I came across this language today while surfing around a bit : http://www.digitalmars.com/d/index.html. The language is in relatively close family to C and C++ and to me it looks rather nice to work with.

There is a language comparision here http://www.digitalmars.com/d/comparison.html and the supported features in the compiler in my opinion shows that this is something to look closer at, especially the possibility of Nested functions and Resizeable arrays.

I think this language will be my new toy this winter...

I've just read an article about this on Digi.no, and it looks interesting.
My C++ skills are a bit rusty, but maybe I should take a closer look at this D "thingy" now..

I spent a few hours last night (to my better halfs frustration) looking into the language and it seems nice and operates well but I found it hard to switch thinking from C++ to D. Learned just that when compiling a small program only to find a whole list of compilation errors, well well - thinking in D is bigger than C if you know what I mean.

I don't think you should compare D to C++, since C++ is dead for me after C# has been released.

Anyway, until D has a decent IDE to work with, I don't believe it can be considered a good language, and looking at the feature list, I don't see it much better then C#, so I'm not sure D will ever have a decent IDE of it's own.

I'd rather use a language with a good IDE as well, So for the time being. I'll stick with what I got.
