Are you referring to the Blue ray technology when you say HD.? If you are then I have to say that I will still insist on using those DVD formats because most the appliances that come with the Blue Ray technology are expensive. I will have to wait for a few years before I could buy them.

Do you work at home

Yeah, it seems so.
But the ig question is if Blu-ray will win over DVD...

It was a big leap from VHS to DVD so there really wasn't a big competition there, but Blu-ray really doesn't offer much over DVD other than slightly better picture quality (I say slightly since you still need pretty expensive hardware to get a good quality improvement...) so the price different still doesn't justify an ugrade to full HD quality TVs and Blu-ray players for the average consumer...

I'm sorry , I thought this topic was a debate about whether or not to switch from DVD to HDDVD Apperently though, It's between DVD and Blu-Ray. I was confused because I didn't understand why someone would compare DVD and HDDVD when HDDVD lost against Blu-ray.
