Post - DVDs vs HD

When the DVD Technology came I wouldn't even think of what could be next. Now High Definition (HD) is here and soon it would be the most popular way to film.
However, I still think I'm going to stick to my DVDs for a while before I upgrade to HD since this is fairly new.

Which one do you prefer at the moment, DVDs or HD?

I dont understand your question? High definition can be on both DVD's and TV. I enjoy watching high definition TV over regular TV because its just naturally better. But most DVD's are just the same high quallity as HD now since the film makers use the new cameras. Now, instead of HD, PS3 has Blu-Ray graphics. Mmmmm... it's like looking through a window and seeing the real life production.

All of my equipment at home is HD ready, but there are only a few channels in my cable TV network that distribute HD TV images, and those are not of my interest, so I stick with the current digital network and it suits me fine.

My software never has bugs. It just develops random features.

I'm thinking about getting a PS3 later, just to get a Bluray player to use on my 37" HD LCD..

My cable provider (GET) doesn't offer any HD channels yet, so I haven't been able to test any HD movies on my TV yet..

I love HD on my 40" 1080 LCD it is freaking awesome....Discovery HD theater is the best so far....

However on of the sickest HD movies I have seen is the redone "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" in HD, it is simply amazing seeing it in HD versus when it first came out....

Cameras shmareas older films will be re-released in HD and look sick (platoon, roger rabbit, etc.) because they will just take the original edit and re-compress it at a higher resolution instead of the lower original resolution they needed to make it to fit the capacity of a VHS tape....

Basically we will be able to get what the movie theaters used to get

How much of a difference does the TV itself make? I don't have an HDTV so will I be able to get much of a change out of Blu-Ray when I get a PS3?

Eventually I want to get a better TV but for now I'd rather have a good console and upgrade that aspect later.

Does anyone know? I've wondered about this for a while.
