eBay recently confirmed an all cash $75 million acquisition of StumbleUpon. eBay says the social discovery site fits will with their “goal of pioneering new communities based on commerce and sustained by trust” and helps them learn more about newly emerging community based businesses.

According to the report, eBay will leave StumbleUpon alone for now. The only thing that change is the addition of eBay management people at StumbleUpon.

Having said that, I would expect eBay to incorporate their new toy's technology into their online auction business.

Who knows, perhaps not so far from now we might actually see "StumbleUpon Shopping", in which we were looking for something, then bump into another thing, and decided to buy both of them.

So, what is your thoughts on this guys? Would you want to see this happening?
