Post - Expired Domains

Hi
I just wanted to know if it helps anyone if they buy an expired domain. After expiry will the domains lose PR when another person buys it again? And also How does Expired Domains really help?

I am thinking of buying two/three PR 3 domains but not sure if i should buy expired ones or just normal ones which are on sale.

Are you thinking about backordering expiring domains, or buying from others?
I've backordered several domains in the past, but now it's almost impossible to capture any good ones since they're snapped up the microsecond they drop by one of the big backordering services.
And unless you have a really heavy purse then you can just forget those auctions..

I may loose it's pagerank, but if it still got incoming links from other sites (with higher pagerank) it may keep it or regain the PR after a while..

Most domains are expired for a reason (they s*ck.. ) but many real good ones are dropped everyday so if you're lucky (or really rich) then you may be able to get those gems..
And as I said, if expired domains have backlinks already then it may help you if you're building a new site there (may melp, not will help.. )

If you're planning to buy domains for their pagerank then be 100% sure that the pagerank is real since it's pretty easy to create a fake pagerank..
And don't just buy domains because it's got a Pagerank since it doesn't have to be worth anything just because of that (all domains can easily get pagerank 1 to 4..)

The thing is I do want to buy a domain but if expired domains are cheaper than active ones then i guess i would buy expired domains.

It is true. I have done some research on it and many said that generally PR drops.

Yesterday i came across a website who are selling dropped domains from 1999 and 2000 with minimum of PR3 but they charge $4 per day. And who knows what i will find inside because I have been member to some of those sites and all i find is crap load of fake PR website list.

I agree a new domain can easily get upto PR3/PR4 in one upgrade but for that one has to wait 3 months. So is it worth waiting 3 months? Buying a PR domain, those 3 months can bring me better income i guess and maybe after 3 months I might see my pr going up as well.
