Post - Farming out SEO work

I flat out don't have time to do much SEO, and if I did I would still be in the sludgy concave of the learning curve. Does anyone here hire SEOers? Do you have any advice or recommendations for me?

I do all of my SEO work myself, and I've also done some freelance work for a couple of large Norwegian sites.

But if you choose to "outsource" your SEO work then be sure to do a background check on the company you want to you since there are a lot of fishy ones out there..
And the worst one will in many cases get you banned from Search engines since they use black hat techniques..

So in other words, I should ask you for quotes on doing SEO for my sites, eh?

Seriously, I would really like to explore my options; if you've got time for freelance SEO for straight hire or barter, PM me. Let's talk.

I do in no way claim to be an expert, but I've worked with SEO both on my sites and others for a few years so I think I do know a trick or two..
So feel free to PM me a link to your site and I'll look at it (but can't guarantee anything.. )

I've planned to do that soon, but I can't reveal all of the tricks-of-the-trade..
And I've also been thinking of creating a new Website Review Talk forum, where people can request reviews on their websites; for coding, design and SEO feedback and comments..

SEO really isn't any "magic" that just a few groups of specially gifted/selected persons can do.
It's mostly enough with a few simple changes on a badly SEOed site to dramatically improve the SE rankings (like relevant title, H1 and H2 tags, the correct keyword density etc).
But one of the most important things is patience since it will/may take weeks and months before any changes on your sites may be reflected in the SERPs (SERP = Search Engine Result Page)

I love search.live.com just for the fact that all referrals for search strings so far have listed my site within the first page.

Thanks for the feedback muchly. HAL, you have pm-ness.

While I understand the point and purpose of SEO, and have the patience of a saint (yes, it's true! ) my difficulty lies in my being 'behind', as it were, with the current tricks and trends. That, plus, the sites I run are almost completely coded by other people....and I like it that way. Heh.

I kind of buck the SEO trend. Two much is put into it and too many sites are SEO and nothing to show. Both my current sites are content first.
