Its a genre ive been feed up with for a while and I dont think im going back to because its so time consuming and really drains my energy and starts adding flabs to my stomach, so for the most part I tend to stay away from these.

I definitely have no trouble with WoW addiction...I've had a rogue since last May and it's still only level 56! Wouldn't be so bad if *certain people* didn't keep starting new characters and say "Hey, start your own, we can level up together!" only to abandon said new character twenty levels later. And then take an abandoned level 60 paladin off their father's hands and tell me to catch up. Why I oughta...

But anyway, it's a fun enough game. I mostly solo - easy to do with a rogue.

I've never liked it either. I have tried to like it as many in my gaming squad love it (and as we are like a family I do want to) but I just can't. I get bored after 20 minutes. In games such as Battlefield, Raven Shield I can play for hours on end. But I always get bored soner or later. I can't be adicted by games hah

My problem with WOW is that it is not deep enough. All the characters have the same role they just execute it differently. A 15 level Rogue can kill a 15 level Warrior in direct melee. Thats to me is Bull. The classes in WOW greatly favor Magic casters, which annoyes me as I like combat.

I prefer DnD rules where every class has a very specific role. Fighters are Frontline tanks but they are weak to magic. Wizards are very powerful but are physically weak and need Fighters for protection, Cleric are decent in both Combat and in Magic but excel in neither. Rogues have skills that no other class has (like Find/Disarm traps and picklocks) but are weak in combat.

The benefits to this system is that all the classes have + and - and it encourages teamwork so that a party can work together.

My problem with World of Warcraft is that I'm addicted to it. I turn it on and BAM...I lose 5 hours of my life.

Most of that time is spent running from one place to another....

I have a few maxxed out guys in WOW. I dont play it much now adays but the game doesn't begin until you hit 70. Once you start to hit those higher levels the skill kicks in. One mistake from anyone in a group can cause a wipe and its over. I would say you havn't played far enough into it mmarsh. Level 60 or 70 mechanics are entirely different from level 15-40 mechanics. Most classes have a role that is set in stone once you get later into the game. Rogues, Hunters, Mages, and Warlocks dps. Priest and druids heal while Warriors tank. There is also different types of dps and you also have to worry about crowd control. Each class has its strengths and weaknesses.

I grew up playing games like Boulders Gate and Neverwinters Night so I know all about those rulesets you are speaking of. WOW has plenty of depth.

Warcraft is great but consumes a gret deal of time. As bad as it is, I have a friend that spends 10-12 hours a day playing Final Fantasy.....

When I was playing wow, there came a time where I realized.

I'm lvl 56, to get to lvl 57 I have to kill 2000 monsters.

Then I realized I really have to get a life, and canceled my account.
