I am hard core 2D game fan I got a lot of games this are some of my favorite ones:
Marvel Vs. Capcom 1 and 2
Capcom Vs SNK
X-Men Vs Street Fighter
Samurai Showdown 3,4,5, Imports
Takken 2-5
Time Killers
World Heros 1,2
Killer Instinct
Fatel Fury Trilogy
Street Fighter - Alpha1-3, Anerversary, Pocket Fighters, Puzzle Fighters, Legends, Imports
Mugen

Mario Bash Brothers Games

I waiting for Virtua Fighter 5 for 360. If you really have ah passion for 2D fighters you should try to **** with MUGEN and creat your own Game. You can pick Life Bars, Carectors,Stages,Music Its crazy and adicting.

Those all sound like things my husband would like. However, he's really more into the role playing games right now. He's been stuck on a Baldur's Gate (not sure which one) for some time now. I don't usually get to play games that often, even though I'd really like to.

Oh, 2D, huh? I got into video games later in life - missed the PS1 and all that, so the first (and only) fighting game I own is Soul Calibur III, though I did get blisters on my thumbs the week I got it; that must count for something, right? I have played Soul Calibur II (hence the purchase of the next one) and Super Smash Bros. Melee at what was ostensibly an anime club ("They're from Japan and they have shiny eyes! Now let's kill each other!").

That was a pretty awesome anime club, in retrospect.

I like the custom character stuff in Soul Calibur III though - it gives me an outlet for my addiction to character creation, but I don't have to mess with all that fiddly Sims junk.

My husband probably knows all sorts of cool 2D fighters - I'll have to ask him sometime.

I have played some fighting games a long before like mortal combat latest versions and some thrillers. Not very much engaged in fighting games, but like to play as you demonstrated above.

There is a new UFC fighting game thats coming out next year, it was announced at E3 and looks really good. The graphics are amazing from the first videos of it.

Most of the games that you have mention are my favorites but I’m not going to buy any console this year because I’m thinking of investing it this year. It may have to wait.
