What is the file format of your main file, you didn't specify it.

No file extension at all on the file?
If it doesn't have that then it's very difficult to know what extractor you need to use..
You can try to use a file extension identification program, there are some listed in this google search but I haven't tried any of them so I'm afraid that I don't have any recommendations..

The file type is probably hidden. I'll assume its XP

In Windows under Folder Options the is a box that checked by Default. Its called
"Hide extentions for known file types". You need to uncheck it.

You should then see all the file extentions, so that you can identify the sucker.

I would suggest using 7-zip. It helps out a lot, is lightweight and free. Its pretty fast and supports most file types. You really need to figure out what kind of file it is. Thats pretty odd that it doesn't have an extension on it. I know that happened to me once, and I played around till I found one that worked. Not the smartest thing, but it works.

You can try Winzip. You can download the latest at its official website. Winzip is the one I used for extracting my files. You can also try to go to Download.com. Type “File extractor” on the search box. You will see all the file extractor that you night need.
