Just wanted to write a short review of my newest memory stick, the Corsair Flash Voyager GT, 2Gb.
The first thing that strikes me when I see this one is that it's quite large, at least compared to other memory sticks, but on the other hand it's rubber coating gives it the impression of being a very solid memory stick that can take a beating.
It's by far the fastest USB memory stick I've tested until now.
It uses USB 2.0 and promises 21/34MB sec write/read speeds, and got pretty close to that at 21MB/sec write and 29,5MB read on the 64MB SiSoftware Sandra test so that's quite impressive when most other memory sticks I've used was in the max 10Mb range.
The Flash Voyager GT USB comes in 2Gb, 4Gb and 8Gb versions (1Gb was previously available)
It's Windows Vista
ReadyBoost™ compatible, but since I don't have Vista I haven't been able to test that yet.
The Flash Voyager GT also comes with the True Crypt security application (Windows Vista/XP/2000 compatible only) allowing for a virtual encrypted drive using AES-256 encryption (not tested yet)
The package also includes a Lanyard and a rather nice USB extension cable
But something that doesn't impress me is the rubber cap...
It already keeps falling off and it probably wont take long before it doesn't stay in place at all so they should really do something about that..
But all in all this is the best USB memory stick I've tried so far, so I can highly recommend it to everyone who are looking for a new one.
