Post - Fresh Fallout 3 Info and Teaser Trailer

A teaser trailer for the upcoming looooong avaited Fallout 3 game has just been released:
http://fallout.bethsoft.com/teaser.html

This one looks very good, and at least judging from the graphics and music/sound on that trailer it looks like this may finally be a worthy sequel to Fallout 2 (I don't count the other crappy "Fallout" games released after the first two...)
I really like the old 40's and 50's music they've used in the previous games, and I'm glad to hear that they seem to continue that "tradition" in fallout 3 as well.
The power armor on the guy at the end also has the Brotherhood of Steel emblem, so it looks like they've be in #3 as well.
Fallout Boy can also be seen on a poster in the bus.

The first details on Bethesda's Fallout 3 have emerged from the latest issue of US Game Informer magazine.

The long-awaited sequel runs on an evolved version of the Oblivion engine, although Bethesda says it's reworked the third-person view because of negative feedback from its last role-player.

Fallout 3 kicks off with your birth and your mother's death in a vault hospital. This is where you get to create you character as your father (voiced by Liam Neeson) hands you over to the DNA analyser, before removing his mask to reveal similar traits to the ones you picked.

According to Game Informer, the battle system in Fallout 3 is called the Vault-tec Assisted Targeting System (V.A.T.S.). You'll certainly be able to tackle enemies in real-time using first-person shooting, the article says, but V.A.T.S. lets you pause time and select a target at your leisure.

If they manage to create a game that's even remotely close to Fallout 1 and 2 then this will certainly be one I'm going to buy..
The atmosphere, storyline, gameplay, graphics (at that time) and sound/music in the first two games vere really great and I still install and play both again from time to time..

Man, after Oblivion, I would play almost anything from them. I played that game several times over, with the different mods; I don't think I logged as many hours on any other game I own.

Fallout 3 looks good on its own too, of course.

Fallout and Fallout 2 are some of the best games I've ever played, so if they manage to create a game similar to those to then this will certainly be another Bethsoft "smash hit"..

Saw the trailer a few weeks ago and i've gotta say i was impressed, even though there wasn't that much to the trailer.

Certainly looking forward to it being out...but still over a year to wait
