Topic Google Pagerank Just Updated

It looks like Google has just updated their (publicly available) Pagerank now, and Datalk.com went up from Pagerank 2 to Pagerank 4..

But keep in mind that the pagerank displayed in the Google Toolbar are "old news" (can be 3-4 months, or more, old) since pagerank is updated all the time internaly on Google but they don't want to give us the up-to-date pagerank to prevent buy/selling of pagerank links etc....

The easiest way to check the pagerank of your sites are through the Google Toolbar:

And you can use online pagerank checkers like this site:

It checks the pagerank on multiple datacenters

But there are a lot of rumors about the importance of pagerank, how to improve it etc. so don't believe everything you read out there..

Very nice work I only have a site at page rank 3 I think it slipped....DOH

Pagerank is more of a novelty thing these days since it's outdated info, but I must admit that I (almost) get a warm fuzzy feeling inside each time one of my sites goes up..
Had Pagerank 7 on one of my other sites a while ago, but it went down to 6 after the next update..

I try not to make pagerank a major concern. Traffic and visitors are what helps to pay the bills.
