Post - Graphic card

I have a good nVidia graphic card right now, but I was looking to buy a better one. Could anyone tell me the latest trends in graphic cards?

I have been out of the computer game for awhile but Nvidia is still the brand to stick with. The 8800 series is the way to go as of right now I believe. You will want to make sure the card is DX10 compatible. Here are some good websites to do some research on.

www.tomshardware.com
www.anandtech.com
www.hardocp.com

Everything you need to know can be found on these websites.

What graphics card do you have now?
I've just bought a Gainward Geforce 8800GTS GS, and I'm very impressed by it's performance..
Time for hardware upgrades.. Input/suggestions appreciated.

I bought a 7600gt the other day, although Vista seems to downgrade its performance I'm gonna go back to XP soon, seeing as I've just bought half-life 2 and Counter Strike: Source So I want to get the best out of my machine!

Hi!

WHat do you use your PC for? Nvidia still sets the standards for gfx card. I myself have a pretty basic GeForce. They have this Quadro Series for PC, WOrkstations, and laptop. I guess it's name suggests it's using 4 processors? Mind-boggling power.
