Topic Help Needed

I am looking to build a website and start a business. It will be one of those complex websites with shopping cart, users will have to register, buyer will have to register. (It will be like people selling their digital stuffs to interested buyers). So security must be pretty good as well.

What i want to know is do you recommend any good website development company? Also I want to know if I should let the website development company access my website control panel? What are the things i should take care of? I don't want the development company to have access to credit card and payment sections but yet I want them to maintain my website annually.

Please give some advices as this will be my first time building a big website.

First of all: what's your budget for this?
If you're going to hire a website development company to custom code a complex websites with shopping cart etc. then it wont be cheap for sure...

There are many good paid shopping cart scripts out there as well, and most of them (at least the good ones) will cost you from $200 and up.
Or you can also get free open source scripts like OSCommerce, ZenCart, OpenCart etc.
It's also possible to use a forum script like vBulletin and get a classifieds script (paid) to run a buy/sell site there..

It all depends on what you're going to use it for, and your starting budget..

It can be free or it can cost you thousands of dollars to get a site like that up and running...

I haven't used many shopping cart scripts myself, so I really don't have any recommendations..

Umm.. ok
I don't have any budget but I can't afford $10000 either.
In short I want to make a website like sharedreviews.com or say dailyarticles.com
Can guess how much would that be?
It will give me an idea then.. I already saved up 3000 and depending on the price estimation i can save more and start up.
