you can't Get Video Out From Headphone Jack in Video iPod or Web Mode, you can't Record Video With The Camera, you can't Use Voice Commands To Make Calls Which I Use All The Time In The Car, you can't Use iPhone As Modem For a Mobile Mac which most others allow and typing on the Virtual Keyboard is Quite Tedius although it may get easier over time

These are the reasons the "Frenzy" is on hold for some. Without Video output and recording capability and Voice Command, I can't rationalize buying one at any price.

I live in this general area, and I can tell you that there are some very unhappy people who want iPhones and can't have them. I don't know what the deal is with AT&T not being available here, but they'd have a line of customers waiting for them here if they expanded.

Imagine how expensive it must be to set up service there if they won't or haven't. You would think many people would be standing in line to buy them so it must just be a business decision.

I assume that Iphone dealers are telling people the units are useless before the purchase, right?

Or are they simply not selling them in areas where AT&T isn't available?

There may be a silver lining here for those in areas with no Iphone service. By the time service is established, the units may be much cheaper than they were for those who lined up for the first release!
