Post - King's Quest

I just thought of this game after reading about some other retro games on here. Did anyone else play this on computer back in the day? I remember playing the 5th one (I believe) with my brothers and finding it so difficult. Thinking back now it was quite easy.

Hahaha, it's so funny that you mentioned King's Quest because I played the 5th one too as a child. The game came on like 6 floppy disks and the graphics were terrible looking back. I found it really difficult too at the time and never really got far. I also was that kid who typed in funny instructions for him to do which never worked of course.

I actually bought the set of King's Quest games that they released not too long ago and the game is still pretty fun although much easier.

I'm glad to see that someone else grew up with this too. This seems to be one of the games that people never think of but mention it to anyone in their early to mid 20s and they'll remember it right away. It would be fun to go back and play 'V' again and maybe some of the others too.

I believe I played all of the Kings Quest from #1 to #6, but I'm not sure if I finished all of them..

Here's a VGA remake of Kings Quest (1) w/digital music and speech by the way:

Haven't tested it since I haven't seen it until now, but I'll certainly download and try it when I have some more time..

The Wiki for 'King's Quest V' brought back a lot of memories. I still remember those harpies and the yeti. Also, I never knew as a kid that it was called 'Absence Makes the Heart Go Yonder!'. That's a truly awful title for a game.

The one in KQ 3 or KQ 5 (that you had to throw a pie at)?
