Post - LG's Washing Machine Has an iPod Dock

Of all the things that we've seen an iPod dock stuck onto, this washing machine is probably the worst. LG's patent for a "Home appliance with MP3 player" loads a dock for the iPod/Zune on the top along with speakers and what looks like a powerline networking adapter with a slot for a USB...

Don't have any idea why would LG want to do this. But who knows perhaps they have some idea behind? I think people will have to have their speaker turn to the max volume in order to cover up the noise.

lol

This is one crazy idea. I hope they put something to dampen the vibrations. But wouldn't it be kind of difficult to lug the washer around to listen to your music?

I don't know about anyone else but I don't stick around my washer that much to really have any use for something like this. It is different though.

Humn, looks like LG has to come up with a pretty good idea on why people need something like this if they want a good sales. None of us here yet to fancy this washing machine yet.

So I guess no one folds their laundry by the washer and dryer?

I think women would have a different view on the use of this thing then men...not to be stereotypical or anything but, I mean come on....

So, do the clothes get cleaner if you play music for them while they wash? I doubt it. Personally, I can't see the sense in something like that.

If you are spending that much time on your laundry then it's my opiniopn that you are doing something wrong!

Well I am a women and I still wouldn't really see the need for one. Then again I don't fold my clothes in the laundry room all that much either.

This reminds me of a bass player I know who described bad drummers as sounding like "a sneaker in a drying machine."

So I guess the music would be best if the machine was off, so there would be no conflicting rhythms?
