well tips and tricks will make people more interested since they add advantage to a player. So unless people find some easy way or tactics to win they always will think spades is a boring time consuming game. But less people who plays know how interesting it gets once a game starts. Those are just some basic tips/strategies but one only discovers more when they play spades more and more.

I can't say I'm into playing Spades, but I didn't know there was a big online community. I guess there's something for everyone in terms of interactive games these days. As far as games go, I'm still hung up on Tetris of all things. It's completely mindless -- just right for me

you are right, nowadays we can find whatever we are interested in and if you want more you can even meet people in your preffered community. Its really a good feeling when you are a part of big community.

Lol, and believe me there are many more interesting things than tetris

For me i play mostly online games where you can chat with other users while playing lol i am enjoying my time in spadester.
