So how many users here use McAfee? I get it for free from my ISP, but I am really kinda disappointed in its performance. I have been using it for close to 2 years, but it seems like now they are just going overboard with upgrades. Every few days I get a message asking me if I would like to upgrade, guess I will just have to live with it.

Oh no, this is what my parents have and you can bet they are not updating. They have a bad habit of this. Looks like I will be making a trip over there and see if theirs needs updated.

I used McAfee for a while, but got tired of the updates, so I switched. Recently, a friend told me about Avast!. The updates to the virus database are automatic, so I don't have to be bothered with it. I've been very happy with it so far, and it's free for download. Free is always good.

In regards to McAfee, I am really fed up with these upgrade popups too. I renewed, but I chose a lower priced package. Since the renewal, I get a popup about four times a day asking if I want to upgrade now or later. It's annoying me to the point that I'll not renew with McAfee at all the next time around.
