I have made a whole bunch of military theme desktop wallpapers mostly of DOD photos I found that are public domain. I have been recently weeding through them and picking out the good ones, then I tweak them, digitally enhance them, and chop them to proper resolutions.

Yeah its right ! i like wallpapers verymuch espacially when it comes to making of them i mean all the effects and brushing etc

Hopefully I'll get some free time to finish up ones I have already started...

I'm also looking for high res military photos of other countries if anyone knows where I can get some please let me know...I'm looking for public domain by the way....

If I might make a recommendation...

SimHQ released lots of new files (mods, patches, etc). They also put out artwork (not everyday) I have an painting (it actually looks like a IL-2 FB screenshoot) of a P-51C downing a Me-109G thats looks amazing. I had another of a pair P-38s downing a Me-110c. They are both by an artist named Graf.

They are simple *.bmps and make great wallpaper. I am having a problem with my RAID controller but the moment my computer is up again I'll post my example.

Best of all its FREE.
