Topic Money Spent On...

Here's a question for those who remember playing games in the "bricks & mortar" arcades.

I'd be very interested to learn how much money some of us spent on games. In my case, Space Invaders, Ms. Pacman and Galaxian were the ones that probably lifted me of the most quarters.

Do you have any estimate of how much you spent in arcades?

I still spend time in the local arcade for certain games. DDR Supernova and In The Groove just draw me in. But I still play the Star Wars trilogy game almost every time I go in; the Hoth level is etched into my mind.

For the classics, I played Galaxian alot. The arcade had a nice section with a lot of older cabinets, since gone.

When I was younger it seemed I dumped all my quarters, or my mom's quarters at the bowling alley while she was in league play. Once in a while, I will take my kids to the arcade for fun, and yes, I will drop an easy $20, but the kids have a lot of fun.
