HAL I was wondering how much does it cost in Norway and what’s in the standard box (not in the Collector’s Edition) ?
I’ve bought Wiedźmin (The Wither) today for 84 PLN (35$/24€)
Things included in Polish (standard) version:
1. DVD with the game
2. Bonus DVD with video materials and many collector's materials (wallpapers, concept art, etc.).
3. Game soundtrack CD
4. Manual
5. Gamer’s guide
6. A story by Andrzej Sapkowski
7. World and Vyzima map

The Week before I got Laid-off I bought an Xbox360 (which I love).
I have WWE Smackdown vs RAW 2008 which is loads of fun on LIVE. Plan on getting "Mass Effect" the Moment I arrive in London on Friday.
For the PC I switch between:
NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer
COH: Opposing Fronts (Panzer Elite Oosterbeck mission is tough as heck)
COD4 Multiplayer. I haven't played the SP much, the MP is far better.
Waiting in the wings:
The Witcher, Gears of War, Supreme Commander, Command and Conquer 3, Crysis, DDO.
I wont buy anything else new for awhile (except Mass Effect and Mercenaries 2) until I have a found new employment, but I think you'll agree I am well stocked for the upcoming Winter.

Most new games (including the Witcher) costs around 400 to 450 Norwegian crowns here (around $75-$85 USD).
Norway is pretty expensive..

Should be more then enough to keep you occupied for quite a while there..
I'm wondering about buying DDO myself, by I haven't decided yet
(and I don't know if I have time for it either, at least not in a while... )
I have a solution for you. Do what I do. Order them in the UK. Average new PC game is 24-26 pounds add another 3-5 for shipping. I usually pay 30 pounds (318 Norwegian Kroner), thats a 20%-25% savings.
Shipping is 3-5 days but If you pre-order it you'll have it on the global release day.
I don't want to be "advertising" for the game shop I use, but let me know if you are interested. I have been going through the same dealer since I moved to Europe. My only complaint is that the customer support is sometimes slow, though I have only needed to use it twice.
Only catch I see is that games will be in English, but judging the way you write I doubt that's a problem.
As for DDO, You lose nothing by downloading the free 10 day Trial.
DDO still remain my favorite MMORPG. But its not for casual players, its for hardcore RPG. There is no crafting, no PvP, and not every class is good at everything, so you must decide BEFORE you role your character. Nothing irritated me more that having my 22 lvl beefcake warrior get his butt kicked by a scrawny wizard in HtH combat (he didn't even use his magic). Thats when I lost interest.
The reason I have not signed up is I have so many games I bought to play. If it were free, however I would do it. Warhammer and Conan are coming however, and I think BOTH are going to kill the competition

The max import price is 200 NOK (aprox 17-18 pounds) so we'll have to pay 25% taxes (+expenses in some cases) on everything that costs more so it wont be that much cheaper anyway..

Another idea.
Have you tried direct download like Direct2Drive or Steam?
