Ah, you are getting the QX6850! Very cool. Big performance difference (and price) between the X and the QX.

ah life is good order the mighty qx6850 today and some dominator 8888 thats 4-4-4-12 at 1111 or get a bit lazy ie 5-5-5-12 at 1300 mmmm just need the enermax 1000 and another evega acs3 gtx and im all done i think plus good news peps overclocked my gpu and is sitting at a happy 2200 mhz and 780 mbit that will do my nice but not gona 3dmark o6 just yet until my new toys turn up so watch this space take care
PS can some one tell me how to capture a pic of the screen so i can post it thanks

That stuff will be awesome. 8800GTXs SLI, I assume you are going for.

There are plenty of free screenshot programs around, just search, or do the lazy way and use the PrintScreen button then paste it into MS paint, cropping to what you what.

Don't forget to screenshot CPU-Z, I want to see those details on the processor once you get it clocked up!

ref the gpus i have one gtx acs3 evga already just got to get a secound one bit worryed about the cooler filtting for sli !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got 3DMark up to 10630 now, but I think that's as far as I'll bother to push this system..

Here is something I thought I would add. I went from a 12k on win XP to a 10.6k on Vista. I can't complain though, it still gets the job done.

Just hit 16,784 on all the default settings, and I'll keep inching that cpu higher. The vid cards won't go higher without better cooling, but that is well in the future.

Right now I'm running the QX6800 266Mhz X 13 mult, about 3.47 Ghz total. I'm scraping 57-60C now, but the thermal paste is fresh, a break-in might earn me a few more degrees. I probably won't hit the initial goal of 3.7 without something fancier. In the future I'll look into a TEC block and get some real high end cooling on there, but I ain't disappointed for now.

Just ran 3DMark 06 on my new ASUS G1S, and it was "only" 3800 without any tweaking.. :?
It runs Windows Vista, and I've heard that people are experiencing a 20% increase in 3DMark scores with XP on the same laptop...

Going to remove some of the useless "features" on Vista soon and test it again.
It should be able to get well above 3800 on that system....

Hm, at least there's some improvement after upgrading to Vista SP1, my 3DMark 06 score (on the Asus G1S) went up to 3909 now...
