I am going to wait. I agree with what a blogger said was that the combat seemed slow compared to the Witcher.

I really like the combat system in the Witcher as well since it's not just "mindless" clicking like many other similar games..

But I believe they've done some changes to the combat system in Age of Conan as well lately, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it turns out.
I applied as Beta tester a while ago, but still no reply..

I have only had a brief look at it (A friend is beta testing) and I thought that graphically it was very nice but the game play wasn't that appealing.

It reminded me of pretty much every other MMO in terms of button mashing to watch the experience bar move and sadly PvP seemed to be the same as WoW's where as I tend to prefer world based PvP rather than instanced capture the flag.

I intend to wait and see on this game rather than jump in and hope at release.

Another thing that concerns me is lengthy delays in release wasn't it originally meant to have been released in late 2006?

Yes well at the rate they are going the product will be out of date before it hits the shelves.

Hopefully it will work out but from what I have seen it doesn't really offer anything new which I think is what many people are hoping for, I suspect the market is over flowing with generic hack and slash MMO's.

I am still waiting to see what Stargate Worlds looks like and despite a 2 year media silence the Bioware/Lucas Arts MMO could be interesting.
