Post - What do you recommend?

We need to draw people to my husband's website - www.wayfaringflutes.com - but unless you're interested in Native American flutes, you're not likely to find it on a search engine. What do you suggest we do to bring people to us?

I guess you're not interested in general traffic, but more targeted traffic by people looking for flutes??
Google Adwords is great for just that, but it will cost a bit and you may need to experiment a bit with the keywords you want to use as well.
And start with advertising on Google Search / Search Network at first, since Content Network ads will bring in "useless" traffic that can be quite expensive if you use the wrong settings.

As above, try looking into Google AdWords or other various PPC (Pay Per Click) providers. Yahoo! YPN (Yahoo Publisher Network) is another, in addition to MSN's AdCenter.

Those are just a few choices, however, it really depends on how much you're looking to spend, if anything.

That's a nice site. And those flutes would make a nice office/home decor too, although that might be a sacrilege since they look exquisite and highly functional.

I suggest compiling a list of keywords for flutes and develop quality content around those keywords, lots of them. That's a pretty small niche the site is trying to serve and it should come out on top of searches. Both spiders and surfers loves keyword-focused quality content.

Adwords - You give keywords, and when those are searched the site will come up.

SEO - Search Engine Optimize, This will give the power of first pages for google, give you more traffic.

Banner Ads - Buy advertising on related forums and sites.

Being a niche site have you tried posting on directories dealing with musical instruments and/or hobbyist sites. You can also try out some free article marketing sites, though its too much of work and the payoff is not that great. The other good option would be to join the communities on social bookmarking sites.
