Post - SimCity Societies

Has anyone out there purchased or played Sim Societies? The idea of the game sounds pretty cool to me. It sounds like it takes SimCity to a whole new level.

I like the idea of building/developing your city based on certain values. If you haven't seen it, check it out. I put a link below.

I've considered to buy it since I played the original SimCity games quite a lot (up to #4), but I'm really not so sure about this one since it looks a bit too much like the Sims and I'm not a huge fan of those games...

I agree, it does sound rather sims-like, and I really dont' like the Sims at all...

I bought Sim City Societies when it first came out because I love the Sims and always stunk at Sim City, so I thought this version would be more fun for me. Well it was fun for a little while, but then became pointless. You reach a certain point in your city where there's really nothing else to do. Plus, the game was so bugged! I had to do a lot of patch downloading and just trying to rework it to get it to work. Even then it only played for about an hour before it just stopped working.

I never enjoyed Sim city games. It is sad to hear that you actually purchased the game and then had to patch it unsuccessfully. I think that Sim City just need to go away, it is almost a dead game already.

I want SimCity to stay forever, I like it much more than this Sims.
