Post - Super PI Mod - Nice overclocking benchmark tool

Super PI is a nice little program that calculates pi to a specified number of digits after the decimal point, up to a max of 32 million...
http://www.xtremesystems.com/pi/

But it's also a great tool for overclockers to test the performance and stability of a overclocked CPU (and RAM)

I haven't bothered to overclock my (old) AMD Athlon 64 3200+ before since it's been ok enough until now..
But lately it's began to show signs of it's "old age" so I I've been playing a bit with it and was able to overclock it from it's default 2,0Ghz to a stable 2,4Ghz now.

The 1M test on Super Pi is the normal benchmark test for CPUs, and I've been able to get it down to 37,030 seconds now, but I'm sure I'll get it down even more if I really want..
The "world record" is around 9sec, so I still got a long way to go to get there...

So what's your 1M Super PI results then??

Overclocking is a dangerous thing to start with, it's quite easy to get "addicted"...
Got it running quite stable at 2,55Ghz now, and the 1M Super Pi result is down to 35.156sec, from over 46sec before OCing..

With a bunch of apps running my work machine calculated 1M in about a minute...

I'll try later rebooted and minimal processes running....

Oh the computer is a Dell Optiplex GX260 w/ Intel P4 2.4GHz and a Gig of mem

Yay, got my notebook down to 43 secs (Intel Pentium M 740 / 1.73 GHz)..
That's (almost) quite impressive, especially since my PC used 47 secs before I overclocked it (Athlon 64 3200+).

Now if just the graphics card in my notebook could be a tiny bit better..
(ATI Mobility Radeon X700 - 128 MB)

Got a new system now, and the results are just in..
E6600 running at "stock speed", 1M test in 21.321 secs..
Over twice the speed of my old CPU (non-overclocked).
But I guess I'll be able to get it well below 20 secs when I get my new CPU cooler and overclocks it a bit...

Nice.
Got it down to 17.018sec at 3,0Ghz..
(Core 2 Duo E6600, 2x1 Gb Corsair Dominator mem)
Going to push it a bit further soon and see if I can reach 3.5Ghz, or above....

I’ve pushed my system a little bit further and I’ve reached stable 3.4GHz

Core 2 Duo E6600 9*377.93 = 3401.33MHz / PDP Patriot LLK 2x1024MB (4-4-4-12). 800MHz

Now I must overcklock my RAM a little.

HAL what mode did you used - Linked or Unlinked ?

Unlinked, didn't do anything with the RAM so it stayed at 800Mhz.
Probably going to experiment a bit with it again this weekend..
