I am curious to see how your system performs HAL. I was thinking about building a computer with the same exact basic components. I am out of date with the current benchmark systems and results. Have you tried Oblivion on it?

The system works really good, and the non-overclocked benchmarks are pretty good as well.
I don't want to overclock it much until I get my new CPU fan and case fans, but I tested it on 2,8Ghz (from 2,4Ghz) and the Super PI 1M test went down to just over 17secs (from 21) so it should be possible to get it stable at least at 3 GHz with a better CPU cooler.

Haven't tested Oblivion on it yet, but I've just put everything on max on Gothic 3 so Oblivion on max shouldn't be a problem either.
Gothic 3 on maximum settings looks really good and impressive by the way...

I'm also considering to get a second GeForce 8800GTS GS and run SLI later this year, just to get max performance out of the system..

I bet you could get well over 3ghz with that CPU HAL. I've heard of those CPU's hitting 4ghz. I have been meaning to try Gothic 3 out, I absolutely loved Gothic 2. Zalman makes really great CPU coolers btw, I own one and it works great.

I've actually just ordered a Zalman CPU cooler..

Zalman CNSP 9700 NT

That one should do the trick...

I REALLY hate the cooler that came with the CPU, it's crappy and really loud..

How is that ram doing? I see that it is fairly priced. I am interested to see how high you can get it to OC. I believe I am going to start ordering my new system soon. I would like to know exactly how high you can OC everything once you get your fan.

Oh yeah, you'll certainly get a "report" on that...
Getting the new fan today, but I don't think I'll have time to install it until later this week..

Got the fans and I'm very impressed by the Nexus fans, they are indeed real silent..
Can't hear anything at all from them!

They're "only" 1500rpm so they doesn't move that much air, but 2 of them at the back seems to do the job good enough anyway.
Looking forward to test the Zalman CPU cooler as well now.

It's your own fault, you've been "pushing" them on me the last couple of months..
