As some of you may know, one of my other online "hobbies" is domain name "collecting".

So now I've created several top 10 lists over verified domain name sales in 2006, sorted by extensions:
Domain names sold in 2006. top 10 lists sorted by extensions
(this wasn't done in a day by the way, I've collected the info over the last few months.....)

If you like it (or not ) it would be highly appreciated if you could "digg" the story as well:

Enjoy..

Domain names are the real estate of the cyberworld, so it's the same with them as it it with real life real estate; it's all about "location, location, location"..

Short and easy to remember one-word domain names are prime "cyberspace property", and the best ones can get thousands of direct type-ins every day from people looking for the exact item, service etc. as the domain keyword describes (like Diamond.com) so companies and domain investors pays big bucks for them because of that.
