What are the top reliable hosting out there?

My partner and I are thinking about starting a website to sell stuff but we need a good hosting; One that have good support, service, 100% Up time, fair pricing, speed, and one that we can trust.

What do you think of 3ix.org? they proide really cheap hosting features? please any comments will help me a lot

What is your budget and do you need a dedicated server (large site) or will shared hosting be good enough??
If you need a dedicated server than I can recommend the Planet (former EV1 servers) www.theplanet.com
I rent this server from them, and they've got very good prices and excellent customer support!

If shared hosting is enough then I have tried and can recommend both Lunarpages.com and Globat.com
Both have good servers, good customer support and have more then enough disk space and bandwidth for most small to medium sized sites..

If you're serious about your site then you shouldn't go for the cheapest host since in most cases you really get what you pay for in the hosting industry, and the less you pay then the customer support and stability will also be of lesser quality (with very few exceptions..)

And try to stay away from hosts offering "unlimited" bandwidth and storage since it really isn't possible to get unlimited and that (in most cases) means overcrowded servers and poor upload/download speeds...

Thanks HAL, well i was looking for a shared hosting. I have heard only good name about lunarpages and globat. I will look into them now closely as you have suggested them. Thanks a lot, your information really helped and i can now settle for a good hosting company.
