Yes, many predicted that the iPhone is just a start. If proves to be as popular as the buzz it generated so far, then we might see shift in cellphones from keypad to touchscreen.
Finger crossed. I love touchscreen but apart from PDA there aren't many choices at the moment.
I think that the Touch-Screen phones such as PDAs is the new revolution in the cellphone industry. I bet that many phone makers are aiming to this and I'm pretty sure we'll have a large variety of choices of touch-screen devises very soon.
Now that the touch screen phones are getting more popular, have you heard much feedback from users? I'm wondering if it's one of those thing where once you have a touch screen you'd never consider going back to previous technology.
It's definitely a move forward, as long as your ear doesn't press against the screen while you are talking! Think of all the misunderstandings that could create.
lol you got a point there. when your ear touch it... maybe the call will end as most have a end call button shown when you call someone lol. hopefully they improve and make it better for users so they won't hate their ear lol.
Touch screen is still not as developed as one would like especially when one relates it to battery life. Usability wise, its pretty good, but continuous use depletes the battery pretty fast and also reduces sensitivity of the screen over a period of time.
