I used to use ubuntu, since draper, well, the only reason i had to run back to windows is just the program list, softwares still haven't put any considerations to linux users, they are still targeting windows users, but when they do finally open their eyes, I will be back to ubuntu faster than a flash light.

Post - What a battle

Well the older computer that i "acquired" had a burned up dvd rom on it so the install always got half way and died... Yes it took almost a month to figure out what the HECK was going on with the dang thing. After my new Vista machine came in and still trying to get UBUNTU installed on the old machine I went out on a limb and installed it on my NEW Machine... WOW. this thing is really easy to use and there is SO MUCH FREE STUFF on it. I am addicted to the connect four game that comes with it and also how easy AUTOMATIX is to use. I still boot in Vista but i find myself using UBUNTU more and more. I really like this OS thanks a lot for the recommendations!!

-TIP-

If you do a manual install and an error message pops up saying the drive needs to be the root there is a drop down box to the right just drop it down and select the "/" option to install to this drive. I know it looks like a big DUH to some of you but i had to Google it and search for DAYS before i guessed at this!!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Linux..
It's really too bad that it isn't possible to play Windows games in Ubuntu (yet), or else I would have dumped Windows right away...

Ubuntu is really great, and I look forward to seeing what new improvements they've added in the next version (in October)..

I dont think uploading it onto Rapidshare would be such a good idia because of the limit of the downloads per 24hrs #@$#% rapidshare =]

Wine works fine in Ubuntu, but it just isn't good enough to play most Windows games (yet)...
