Post - WoW Wrath of the Lich King Expansion Pack Announced

Here's some good news for those of you who still play World of Warcraft..
(I quit when I reached level 47 on my Paladin.. )

The Next WoW Expansion pack has just been announced..
Wrath of the Lich King

Features
  • Master the necromantic powers of the Death Knight - World of Warcraft's first Hero class.
  • Quest to level 80, gaining potent new abilities and talents along the way.
  • Learn the craft of spell augmentation with the new Inscription profession.
  • Brave the harsh new continent of Northrend, the icy domain of the Lich King.
  • Engage in epic siege warfare, deploying mighty siege engines to lay waste to destructible buildings in your path.
  • Transform your hero's look with new character-customization options, including new hairstyles and dances.
  • Explore perilous new dungeons filled with some of the deadliest creatures -- and greatest treasures -- on Azeroth.
  • And much, much more...
In the cold, harsh northlands...

The Lich King Arthas has set in motion events that could lead to the extinction of all life on Azeroth. With the armies of the undead and the necromantic power of the plague threatening to sweep across the land, only the mightiest heroes can oppose the Lich King's will and end his reign of terror for all time.

Eh...

I have yet to find an MMORPG that has truly gotten to me yet. All were either bad for a variety of reasons (poor story, poor gameplay), or else hyper competitive to a ridiculous degree (WoW high level play being high pressure max DPS complaint-ridden quests, as I watch a friend go at it). Even the time requirements reward only the most addicted, making it too hard to play more than a single character with the time spent on low-level messenger type tasks and grinding.

Have you tried Lord of the Rings Online yet?
The Lord of the Rings Online - Shadows of Angmar Beta Testing!

I haven't played it very much yet, but I think it's storyline and gameplay are better than WoW so I'll probably stick to this one for a while now..
And it really helps to play in the Tolkien "universe" as well..

Surprisingly, i can't wait for this to come out (however im not a hardcore wow fan or anything lol). I quit playing WOW a month or 2 ago because it was so addicting. I reached upto 70 and about a month after that it was just really boring making new characters and doing some quests over and over. Once this new one comes out i'll probably start playing a lot more XD.
