Topic Your Favourite Programming Language?

Just wandering, what is your guys favorite programming language?

I know it depends on the type of project you have to do, but let's say you have a few projects you can pick, and there's one that is optimized for any language you choose. What will you pick?


I'll definitely lean towards Java. All Java's OOP capabilities make it the greatest language I've ever programmed with. Maybe C# isn't worse, but I never got to do any large projects with it to know whether it is.

I agree with you on Java. But in a way Java isn't as popular as it used to be.

As for myself, I am still a beginner in PHP. Long way to go still.

It's been a while since I've done any (serious) software programming, and "back in the old days" I used Basic, Turbo Pascal and Assembler code quite a bit.
But after I moved over to Delphi a few years ago I haven't done any offline programming, but I've programmed quite a lot in PHP and Javascript (AJAX) the last couple of years, and even taken a few classes on those subjects..

I've actually been thinking about taking C# or Java programming classes this year or after X-mas

I will surely say its Java. It is the better languages i have seen, I have done many programs using Java and it is really came out well. It is the best programming languages.

Well i only know a little. I know HTML and PHP. So i guess i'll choose HTML as my favorite .

My favorite programming language is Visual Basic. I remember when I was still in college. My classmates would always go to me to teach them. They always choose me as a leader because Visual Basic is the one that we are using as our programming language on our Defense subject.

I've used Visual Basic a bit in the past, but I really don't remember much of it now..
